Jon Salon

Executive Vice President & Global Head, Private Equity

Location: New York

Jon Salon is Executive Vice President and Global Head, Private Equity at BCI, a multi-asset class investment manager with C$295 billion of gross assets under management (as of March 31, 2025).  Jon leads BCI Private Equity’s program, which manages a growing private market portfolio of more than C$36 billion across fund, direct, and co-investments. Jon has a mandate to guide and oversee BCI’s overall private equity strategy, including determining appropriate program exposure to specific sectors and geographies. He first joined BCI in June 2024 as Senior Managing Director.

Jon brings nearly three decades of experience across a wide range of executive functions, including investment management, operations, go-to-market strategies, corporate development, legal and finance. Most recently, Jon served as President and CEO of MDLIVE, an Evernorth company and leading provider of virtual healthcare services to patients across the United States.

Prior to MDLIVE, Jon spent 14 years at Bedford Funding, a $1.4 billion private equity firm focused on growth equity investments and buy-outs of healthcare and technology-focused businesses. At Bedford, Jon was responsible for leading the execution of the firm’s investment strategy, including deal sourcing, portfolio management activities, and managing intermediary relationships. Jon also served as a member of the Board of Directors and on various committees of several Bedford portfolio companies.

Prior to Bedford, Jon served as Vice President and General Counsel of Unica Corporation, where he was responsible for the company’s worldwide legal affairs. Previously, he served as Vice President of Corporate Development and Deputy General Counsel of Geac, where he advised the company’s Board of Directors and senior management team on complex strategic, commercial, and operational issues, and corporate governance matters, as well as managing acquisition and divestiture initiatives and partnerships worldwide.

Jon holds a J.D. from Boston University School of Law and a B.A., cum laude, from Colgate University. He also participated in the Fellows Program at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
