Geraldine Hutchings

Former Director, Pension Management Board of the 
BC Pension Corporation

Geraldine has worked as legal counsel for 37 years, providing advice on legislation, negotiations, and agreements in Indigenous and Crown relations. Since 1999, she has worked for the Province of British Columbia. The Province appointed Geraldine to the College Pension Board of Trustees in 2012. She has served on committees of the College Pension Board of Trustees and held the positions of Chair and Vice Chair of the Board.

In 2018, the College Pension Board of Trustees appointed Geraldine as a Director on the Pension Management Board of the BC Pension Corporation. She held the positions of Chair and Vice Chair and was a member and Chair of the Audit Committee. Her tenure with the BC Pension Corporation ended in June 2025.

Prior to moving to the Province, Geraldine practiced law in the Yukon Territory. She was Chair and a member of the Yukon Human Rights Commission and the Yukon Mental Health Review Board. She also held the position of Secretary of the Law Society of Yukon.

Geraldine holds a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Victoria. She also has a diploma in Business Administration – Accounting from Camosun College and a Certificate in Advanced Trust Management Standards from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.

Geraldine is a member of the Audit Committee. She was first appointed as a Director on September 1, 2025. Her current term is scheduled to end on August 31, 2027.
